Virgin Money Giving is a great way to get your sponsors to make their donations online.
Why?
By setting up your own Virgin Money Giving page you can collect donations online from friends, family and work colleagues wherever they are without having to chase them for cash. Your supporters pay by debit or credit card and the sponsorship raised goes directly to Porchlight, making it easy for everyone.
Setting up an online fundraising page is easy, free, and it gives you a place to show what you will be up to, include photos and progress reports and show how far you are in reaching your target.
Asking people to sponsor you through your Virgin Money Giving Page gives people a quick, simple and safe way to sponsor you and make donations. It also gives them a space to include a personal note of encouragement and you can send an automatic thank you message to everyone who has supported you.
If your sponsors are tax payers Gift Aid is automatically collected, adding 25p to every £1 they donate, with no extra cost or effort to you or your sponsor.
How?
- Go to the Virgin Money Giving website (opens in new window)
- Click on ‘Start Fundraising’ – Create your page and follow the instructions from there.
- Make sure to select Porchlight as your chosen charity, that way the money you raise will automatically be forwarded to us.

- Once you have created and personalised your page email it round to everyone you know. Let all your friends on Facebook and followers on Twitter know and start receiving donations!
