Kent homeless charity Porchlight is delighted to announce the appointment of Gill Bryant to the new role of Head of Operations at the charity.
The new position is part of the charity’s management restructure process which saw Deputy Chief Executive Rachel Holliday stand down last month after 11 years service.
Gill has worked for Porchlight for over 8 years at both the frontline and management level, most recently as strategic manager for the charity’s rough sleeper service.
Mike Barrett, Chief Executive said: “The restructure has been in reaction to changes in the political agenda and cuts to grant income to ensure that we can maintain a high level of service provision for vulnerable and homeless people.
“We are extremely pleased to have appointed someone with such a strong history and track-record of success at the charity. I am confident that Gill’s vast experience will be crucial in helping us over the coming year to ensure Porchlight remains at the forefront of service delivery.”
Gill said: “I am delighted to be given this opportunity. I have seen significant change and growth in the charity since I started and I am very proud of what has been achieved. The next 12 months are going to be challenging as we enter a period of financial cuts, benefit reform and a new approach to delivering services. I am really looking forward to working alongside our management team in ensuring that we continue to deliver services at the highest standards for the vulnerable people that we work with.”
Chris Coffey has been promoted to the role of Strategic Manager. Chris started with the charity in 2009 as service manager for the Kent Outreach Service.
