Kent charity Porchlight is saying goodbye to its Deputy Chief Executive Rachel Holliday in March. Chief Executive, Mike Barrett explained: “As a result of changes to the political agenda and the forthcoming Localism Bill, along with cuts to grant income it is necessary to restructure. The commitment and professionalism that Rachel has shown time and again is a loss to this sector. We badly need leaders of Rachel’s capability especially at such an uncertain time.”

A new post of Head of Operations will oversee the development of Porchlight’s operations in order that the charity continues to offer high quality services to some of the most excluded people in our society. The post will strengthen the charity and enable the organisation to face the challenges that lie ahead.

Porchlight after 11 years

Rachel has been with the organisation for 11 years and has been a major part of the charity’s expansion and success. “I have been at the charity for a long time, loved working here, seen many new projects set up and watched it grow; but it’s time for a change and a chance for me to try something different.”
