Andy Upfield, Manager for TK Maxx, recently ran the Tonbridge Half Marathon in aid of local homelessness charity Porchlight. Andy, his partner Helen and colleague Kelly raised £300 in sponsorship with a further £1000 being donated by Andy’s employer.
TK Maxx donated the money from their Community Fund which provides the opportunity for staff to get financial support for a charity that matters to them.
Rachel van Hoven, Community Fundraiser for Porchlight, said: “We are so grateful to people for taking on personal challenges to support vulnerable people. I would also like to thank TK Maxx for their generosity. This kind of support means we can continue to provide vital services to a growing number of homeless people.”
