Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £20,278 - £22,897 gross per annum
Contract: Fixed term until September 2019

The role: The Aspirations Community Engagement Worker will be responsible for recruiting Aspirations participants to the program and then playing a key role in guiding them along their journey through the Aspirations service. This service is a Big Lottery Fund (BLF)/European Social Fund (ESF) Building Better Opportunities (BBO) project. It is designed to increase wellbeing, resilience and skills, and to provide a pathway to work, volunteering or work-like aspirations for people who have had mental health issues which have been a barrier to work. Aspirations for Life, includes partners from the voluntary sector, arts, sports and community groups and is delivered across Kent and East Sussex.
What you need: The Aspirations Community Engagement Worker will work with the Aspirations Workers and Participant Involvement Coordinator to recruit suitable participants to the Aspirations service. This role will require the post holder to work mainly in rural and coastal areas to engage hard-to-reach people through sporting aspirations, projects and events. The Aspirations Community Engagement Worker will provide a holistic, supportive and coaching approach and will play a part in the goal based action planning for the participants that they recruit. This will lead to education, work-like Aspirations or volunteering opportunities that are suitable to the individual.
