Urgent appeal

Help us keep the door open

Funding for Kent’s homelessness services is being cut. Porchlight’s hostels are at risk of closure.

We’re doing all we can to keep vital safety nets in place, but we can’t do it without you.

The cuts will be catastrophic for people facing homelessness. People like Jacqui, whose job wasn’t enough to help her escape the streets.

After she was made redundant, universal credit payments didn't cover the cost of food, rent and bills. Forced to leave her home, life on the streets left Jacqui feeling vulnerable and alone.

At night I walked up and down, with blisters on my feet. I didn’t sleep, I was too scared

Without our life saving housing and support, thousands more people like Jacqui will be in this desperate situation. Please help keep the door open for them.

Cuts are being made to life-saving homelessness services across Kent.

Our hostels are a lifeline but unless we all take action fast some will be forced to close.

Last year we supported 8,300 people out of homelessness. Now thousands more are at risk.
