Sue Hornibrook

Sue enjoyed a 20 year career in the public and private sectors, including a role lecturing in Strategic Management and Corporate Responsibility at the University of Kent. Sue joined our board of trustees in 2009 and now spends time developing strong collaborative links between Porchlight and the local community. She became chair of the board in January 2016. Matt Ryde

Matt is a passionate estate agent and has been working in the industry for over thirty years. He currently manages Graham John Estate Agents, based in Ashford, whose strapline is ‘Make Life Special’. Matt felt a strong connection to the charity and our similar goals, namely our aims to find permanent and suitable homes for our service users and also to help make life special for them again.  Matt has been an ambassador for us for over a year and we are very grateful for his support.

Neil Wiggins

Neil has more than 30 years experience in the maritime sector. He manages his own company, Independent Vessel Operations, which offers training and consultancy to container vessel owners, ports and container terminal operators. He also sits on the Dover Harbour Board, which is responsible for the maintenance and development of the Port of Dover, and is a Director of the Dover Town Team. A few years ago, Neil made a visit to one of Porchlight’s hostels and was surprised and impressed by the long-term and life-changing support offered to the clients. We are delighted he has chosen to be an ambassador for the charity and promote our cause.

Sandra Worth

Sandra works at Robinsons Solicitors in Canterbury. She has over 30 years legal experience and has always worked locally in East Kent. Sandra regularly felt that she wanted to do more to help the rough sleepers she would walk past in Canterbury, which led to her initial support of Porchlight and our work helping rough sleepers off the street and into independent and full lives. She became an ambassador in 2012 and we really value her enthusiasm in spreading the word about our work. We are also thrilled that Robinsons Solicitors is one of our Employability Sponsors and that their financial contributions are directly helping our clients into education and employment.
