Cripps law firm raises £13,200!

Cripps law firm has raised a whopping £13,200 for us. After choosing Porchlight as their charity of the year for 2015, staff threw themselves into a range of fundraising challenges including a daring abseil, a ‘Cripps-mas Bake off’ and a 55 mile ‘Tour De Cripps’ bike ride.
Hannah Proctor, chair of the Cripps charity committee, said: “We wanted to support Porchlight because we believe in assisting local projects which make a difference in our communities.
“We’ve built a great relationship with the charity over the year and been given a real insight into its vital work supporting homeless and vulnerable people in Kent. Some of Porchlight’s service users attended our fundraising events to talk to staff about their experiences which gave everyone the extra motivation to think bigger and raise more. It’s been so much fun and we’re really delighted that we’ve been able to show our support in such a positive way.”
The money raised will help fund Porchlight’s services including its rough sleeper team and its jobs, education and training programme. Joanne Spiteri, corporate fundraising manager, said: “We’re so grateful that Cripps chose us as their charity of the year. Generous donations like this give us the ability to confidently plan ahead and ensure that essential services continue to operate.
"The partnership has also been personally beneficial for a number of our service users who were given a warm welcome by Cripps staff which has helped them build their confidence and develop valuable skills they can use in the future. Thank you to everyone who’s been involved in helping us to provide life-changing support to people in communities across Kent.”
