Give a gift that counts this Christmas
3 November 2017
Christmas is a lovely time of year for many of us. But for hundreds of people sleeping on the streets of Kent, it's like any other time of the year - a battle to survive.
Porchlight, Kent’s leading homelessness charity, is asking people to make a donation and change somebody’s life this Christmas.
Shockingly, homelessness in Kent has risen 38% in the past year. The demand for Porchlight’s services has never been greater and without the public’s support, more people than ever before will be out in the cold.
Porchlight allows people to escape the misery of the streets and begin to recover from the damaging effects of homelessness. By donating, you can help even more people receive the practical and emotional support they need for a brighter, healthier future.
£15 could help provide hot, nourishing meals for people living in our hostels.
£25 could give a homeless person a welcome pack containing the food, toiletries and warm clothing they’ve been without for so long.
£40 could help people develop vital new skills and boost their confidence through our job, education and work training programmes.
£100 could help our rough sleeper team go out night after night, offering help and support to people living on the streets.
Together, let's make sure no-one is left out in the cold this Christmas. Every penny you donate will change lives.
