Hop Pocket race raises vital funds

30 September 2015

Canterbury’s Hop Pocket Race in aid of Porchlight was a great success. Teams were challenged to carry a filled hop pocket along a 500m route down Canterbury high street. Each team had four members and with each pocket weighing 168lbs (12 stone) this was no simple challenge!

A big thanks to Canterbury Connected BID who organised the event and a thank you to the Rapid Response Team from Plymouth Bethren Church who provided all the volunteer stewards. And congratulations to our supporters Burgess Hodgson (pictured) who won the race.
