Tackling homelessness at a national level
17 February 2017
Porchlight has joined a national debate about tackling the UK's growing homelessness crisis.
We're one of five charities working with Homeless Link, an organisation looking into ways of preventing people from ending up on the streets. Despite being Kent-based, we often work with homeless organisations in other areas of the UK to develop new approaches for what we do.
Homeless Link came and questioned a small group of former and ex-residents about their experiences with homelessness. They also looked into our support for members of the community who feel isolated and the way we work alongside GP surgeries to address any problems that are impacting on people's mental health or ability to live independently.
The findings will be added to a report which should be published later in the year.
While you're here: we want to help everyone who needs it but need your support to do so. Please make a donation so Porchlight can be there for those in need.
