If you’ve ever walked past someone sleeping rough at Christmas and wanted to help, this is your chance.
Your donation is one way to make sure they are safe, seen and supported.
216 people were recorded sleeping rough in Kent and Medway this year*, all trying to survive the night in a tent, doorway or stairwell instead of having somewhere safe to go.
Every one of them now faces another freezing winter, exposed to danger, cold and uncertainty without a door to close and a bed to sleep in.
No one should face that by themselves.
Your donation could help our teams provide food, a warm drink, clean clothes and emergency shelter to someone in need- then give them longer-term support to find a safe home and keep it.
Donate before 5th December and your gift will be doubled, helping it go twice as far, thanks to our generous supporters Alec & Pat Pelmore and the Redbreast Trust (up to the value of £30,000).
For more than 50 years, Porchlight has helped people facing homelessness across Kent and Medway. We know how to find people, earn their trust and get the right support to them fast.
We can't do it alone. Your gift could help change what happens next for someone facing homelessness this Christmas.
Thank you.

*At the time of writing, the government had reported 216 people sleeping rough in Kent — though the true number is likely much higher. There are likely many more people, especially women who’ve experienced abuse, who feel the need to remain hidden to stay safe. We need to protect them all.
