Accommodation support volunteer
Role available in Dover
Can you give up four hours a week to help people living in our homelessness accommodation?
You’ll be based at one of our Dover properties for people experiencing homelessness. You’ll help our staff with practical or administrative tasks (whichever is your preference), meaning they will have more time to support clients. Examples of what you could help with include:
- making calls to check in with people that are on the waiting list for support
- assisting with some administrative tasks
- practical tasks like sorting store cupboards and communal areas
- printing, scanning and shredding.
Our homelessness accommodation runs 24/7, so any time you can offer for this role will be appreciated. Do the nature of this role, an enhanced DBS check will be carried out.

What we need from you
- No experience is required, but you must feel strongly about helping people sleeping rough to escape the streets and rebuild their lives
- This role will benefit a morning person
- We ask that volunteers undergo some training (provided by Porchlight)
- Two references will be required and a DBS check will be undertaken
