Accommodation support volunteer - Greenhithe
Can you give up four hours a week to help people living in our homelessness accommodation?
Role available in our Greenhithe property for people experiencing homelessness.
You’ll help engage the people we support in activities and socialising, the role will involve:
- Attending the accommodation on a weekly, consistent basis (this can be any day and time between Monday – Friday that suits you and the residents)
- Offering and providing activities for the residents to take part in – cooking, gardening, etc. (all ideas and suggestions welcomed)
- Building rapport with the residents
- Liaising with staff on site
This is a great opportunity to engage with the people we support and help them build confidence and create a sense of belonging.
Do the nature of this role, an enhanced DBS check will be carried out. This is perfect for someone who wants to help in the fight against homelessness. If you’re passionate about making a difference, we want to hear from you.

What we need from you:
- No experience is required, but you must feel strongly about helping people sleeping rough to escape the streets and rebuild their lives
- We ask that volunteers undergo some training (provided by Porchlight)
- Two references will be required and a DBS check will be undertaken
