Activities volunteer (Dover)
Our supported accommodation provides a safe and supported environment where the people we support can re-build their lives. Part of the journey often means re-connecting with their community, and others to find purpose and build confidence.
We run a variety of groups and activities both within our supported accommodation and outside, for example; tea & toast sessions, movie nights and wellbeing walks and days out.
We are looking for a volunteer who can help support the groups and sessions, lending a listening ear and encouraging people to take part. The role will also involve:
- Chatting to clients who are attending the groups
- Encouraging clients to take part in activities, listening to what they would like to do and supporting staff to help realise these plans.
What we need from you
- Committed and reliable
- Have a friendly approachable manner & feel confident in groups
- Understanding & compassion for people facing challenges
