Administration volunteer

Can you give up a few hours each week to help support people that are sleeping rough or facing homelessness?

Roles available in Dover and Canterbury

By providing our homelessness team with administrative support you will be making a great difference to the people we support.

  • Making calls to check in with people that are on the waiting list
  • Process referrals – update on to the database, follow up with referrer for any additional information required

Our homelessness accommodation runs 24/7, so any time you can offer for this role will be appreciated. Do the nature of this role, an enhanced DBS check will be carried out.

What we need from you

  • Feel passionate about helping people sleeping rough to escape the streets and rebuild their lives
  • Good administrative skills (able to use Microsoft packages)
  • Happy to talk to people on the phone
  • We ask that volunteers undergo some training (provided by Porchlight)
  • Two references will be required and a DBS check will be undertaken

Where

  • This role can be remote or based at one of our offices
