Fundraising speaker volunteer
Inspire people to support our work
Are you a confident public speaker who wants to make a difference? This role is about giving talks to churches, schools, community groups and more, encouraging them to support Porchlight.
You'll explain what Porchlight does and share the stories of people we've worked with. It's a chance to inspire people and also challenge stereotypes and misconceptions associated with homelessness and mental health problems. By encouraging audiences to donate or do a fundraising activity, you'll be bringing in money that saves lives.
Many of the groups you give talks to meet in the evenings and at weekends. Therefore, this role can be flexible to your needs and availability.
What we need from you
- No experience is required, but you must be passionate about helping others

- Two references will be required
