Five ways to fundraise for Porchlight
Help us change lives in Kent by raising valuable funds for us
Here are some fun ways you can get involved and raise money to help homeless and vulnerable people in your area.
1. Run for Porchlight
Whether
you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, join our team in the fight against
homelessness and we'll support you with advice, fundraising materials, and a
t-shirt or running vest.
We have charity places in a range of great runs across Kent, London, and the
South East – including half and full marathons. Take part solo or as part of a
team, and you'll be truly transforming the lives of homeless people in Kent.
2. Tee off at our Golf Day
Sign up your team of four to drive away homelessness. Your ticket will include 18 holes of golf, refreshments on arrival and a delicious one course meal at the end of your game.
Our next Golf Day will take place on Thursday 12 October 2023.
3. Brave the cold at a sponsored sleepout
Can you go without your comfy bed for one night?
Whether you're a company, part of a community group or want to take part with friends – get sponsored to brave the cold.
Taking part is fun and exciting, but it also provides a valuable insight into what it's like for people who have no choice but to sleep rough every day of the week.
4. Help your child become a Hero Against Homelessness
Heroes Against Homelessness is a non-uniform day with a twist.
Pupils are sponsored to dress up for school as community heroes, while learning how to be more thoughtful, active, and caring citizens.
Encourage your child’s school to take part, and help raise money for people who need it while teaching pupils about homelessness in an age-appropriate way.
5. Tell us your ideas!
