Have your say on the future of Kent's adult social care funding

Take part in Kent County Council's public consultation

Kent County Council is proposing a cut to adult social care funding.

This could potentially mean less support for people experiencing mental health problems (including help to address the issues that are causing them, such as housing concerns and financial worries).

The council is looking to save £3.45 million a year to balance its budget and protect statutory services - the services it's legally obligated to deliver.

We know that 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem of some kind this year. It’s why we’re encouraging everyone to take part in the council’s online consultation - a short survey where you can have your say about the proposed changes to funding.

Kent County Council's survey runs until Monday 27 January. It will make a decision about future funding in March.

We know this isn’t the position Kent County Council wants to be in. But we also know the need for mental health support hasn’t gone away.
