An important update about changes to The BeYou Project
The service for LGBTQ+ young people comes under new management this spring
We want to share an important update about The BeYou Project - our service for LGBTQ+ young people - and reassure you about what’s changing this spring.
From 1 April, BeYou will be managed by our friends at Oasis. Be assured: the support BeYou offers is staying the same. The service isn't ending.
We created The BeYou Project in partnership with NHS Kent and Medway ICB (Integrated Care Board) in 2017. We’re really proud of what BeYou has done over the years - supporting hundreds of LGBTQ+ young people, especially during times when things haven’t always felt safe or easy.
This spring, NHS Kent and Medway is launching the Kent Therapeutic Alliance. It’s a network of organisations (including The BeYou Project) working together to help young people address all the issues they may be facing, led by Salus – a specialist children and young people’s organisation.
We feel it’s the right time for another organisation to carry BeYou forward and help it grow. We're working with Oasis to ensure BeYou remains a safe, supportive space for LGBTQ+ young people.
If you have questions or worries about what’s happening, talk to one of the BeYou team - we’ll be happy to help.
